Director
Scott Turnipseed
Scott moved to Eagle in 2000 and spent the first 42 evenings in Eagle fishing the caddis hatch on Brush Creek. He would have done 43 evenings but his wife of 37 years had him tap the breaks and spend some time with his family. Scott is the President of Scott S. Turnipseed, Architecture and Construction Inc., a company that specializes in high end residential design and construction and has been building houses in the Vail Valley since 1995. Scott currently is the Mayor of Eagle and has served on the Eagle Planning Commission, the Eagle Town Council, or Mayor since 2005. Beating all odds Scott graduated in four years in 1982 from the University of Colorado, Boulder with a Bachelor of Environmental Design. Scott has served on many local boards and feels strongly that what makes the Vail Valley great are all the people that give back to the community. If you don’t find him sketching houses in his office, or sitting in board meetings you will find him surfing in Mexico, riding his mountain bike in Eagle, pretending to swing the golf club well, and of course on rivers around Eagle trying to convince a trout that his barbless hooked caddis is a real one.
